Bridges and Crowns

A dental crown is a cap that is placed over a tooth, covering the tooth completely. A crown is used to restore the shape and size of a tooth, making it stronger and improving its appearance.

A dental bridge is two or more crowns that are attached to the teeth on either side of a gap in a patient’s teeth, plus one or more false teeth to fill the gap.

Bridges and crowns restore a patient’s smile, and they are important for more than appearance. They make it easier for a patient to chew properly, and they protect teeth and the jaw from further damage. Crowns restore the strength of cracked or damaged teeth, while bridges prevent the remaining teeth from drifting out of position by filling the spaces left by missing teeth.
